2 PhD and 2 Post-doc positions to study transmission dynamics and disease defences in ant colonies (Switzerland)
As part of a new ERC-funded project (ERC Starting Grant), I am looking for 2 PhD students and 2 post-doctoral researchers to address the following questions:
1. What are the effects of social network structure on disease transmission in ant colonies? (Post-doc)
2. What are the effects of caste-specific microbiota on disease susceptibility in ants? (Post-doc)
3. What are the effects of group composition on disease transmission and immune investment in ants? (PhD)
4. What are the effects of pathogen pressure on personal and social immune investment in ants? (PhD)
