We are thrilled to announce that the Winter Meeting of the North-West European Section of the IUSSI will take place on 18–19 December 2025 in the beautiful city of Leuven, Belgium! Hosted by the Laboratory of Socioecology and Social Evolution (LSSE) at KU Leuven, Belgium, this year’s meeting will again be hybrid, welcoming both in-person and online participants. The conference will take place on the 18th December, starting at ~9am, and wrap up at 4pm on 19th December.

Abstract submission deadline for talks (~15 minutes) and posters: 15 October 2025.

Travel & Location:
Leuven is a 20–30-minute train ride from Brussels, with trains every ~15 minutes from 05:00 until midnight (13.40€ round trip). From the UK, Brussels is easily reachable via Eurostar or Brussels Airport.
Our conference venue is just 2 minutes’ walk from the charming Christmas Market and 5 minutes from the city centre, so you can enjoy cozy winter vibes, Belgian chocolates, local beers, and fries right after the talks!
